After you have proven to be able to make good money for "yourself" (actually for the Head of team), you will be specially invited to exclusive investment opportunities.
The management would organise "investment opportunities" where you could invest and the Head of team would even guarantee that you'll make money.
You put your money in and thinking that the Head of team is looking out for your well-being. But you do not get any contract to say that the $XXXXK that you have put into the investment is in fact yours. Everything is through verbal promise. But in fact, the investment is put in the Head of team's or his Management's name and if you want to get it back, it depends on the his mood.
Now, if you want to leave JNP you'll have to rethink about your investments that are stuck there.
Very strategic move to keep the consultant chained up, but totally unethically.
They say you're joining a family - just see how they treat their Secretaries
Secretaries - the real heros that put up with a dictator and his righthand lioness. They put up with all that comes out of the lioness' mouth, the unreasonable behaviour, the constant mood swings and public lashing/ humiliation. That's perfectly ok if you earn A LOT but they don't! In fact, they are highly underpaid and overworked!
They must be one of the most underpaid secretary group and if they don't do anything to renumerate them properly, many if not most of them would leave for somewhere that has higher pay and shorter hours.
If the secretary bosses are not getting their Bonus, while the rest of IPP advisers are getting them, how do you expect the secretary bosses to pay the secretary big bonuses or even pay the secretary higher salary?
The circle of life in this team:
The Head of team short-change CONSULTANTS and MANAGERS.
CONSULTANTS have no choice but to short-change the secretaries. But because of how the secretaries have been brain washed, the secretaries will willingly short-change themselves.
The secretaries are also saying things behind each other's back, back-stabbing other secretaries, telling the lioness everything that happens so that they will be on the lioness good books and the lioness will "protect" them instead of throwing her WEIGHT at them.
So if they can EAT people below them, what about their clients?... Let me share that soon...
Public Humiliation and vulgarities
Under Singapore Law, using vulgarities on your subordinate is a crime.
But in this team, it's for "your own good". You should be thankful that the Head uses his time and energy to scold you vulgarities like F**K, Idiot, Stupid, PIG, Fu*king as*hole, chee by*, lan ji*o, nah b*h etc.
You must understand that he does not feel "GOOD" when he scolds you, it is all for YOU. To make YOU "BETTER".
I can't understand how their consultants can put up with all this shit.
Climb the ENDLESS ladder
Let's see.
Since beginning:
No. of Head of the team ever = 2
No. of Head of the team now = 1 (this one fired the other one... unbelieveable)
Most in the IFA industry just want to be a consultant. But soon you will understand that this Head of team is the one sucking away the comms and also the new consultants that you bring into the team.
Why? Because you are JUST a CONSULTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So you start to toy with the idea of becoming a manager so that the people you bring in will be under you (recurring income, $$$$$, running your own team, going more into Human Resource Development of consultants etc.. any combination of the above reasons.)
The first thing that you ask yourself is: what are the criterias of becoming a Manager? You look at the criteria and mark yourself against it.
Let's see..
Health.. I'm quite healthy...
Relationship.. Who must I be close to/ suck up/ appear happy in the presence of? Oh yes...
Wealth.. I'll be more wealthy if I become a manager..
Personal growth.. I need to read everything that makes me even more submissive to the management.. ok I could do that.
Professional growth.. I have to study more into this field of Finance. Sure.
Financial growth... I have to invest and make sure that I'm good at it.. Does playing monopoly help?
I score maybe a 8/10 for everything... and here is the deal-breaker.
It's ALL about being his PET... roof roof!
So you do something and get Fu*ked for not doing enough..
You put in more effort and change your thinking... and get F*cked even worst than before.
Ok, you tell yourself that "so i'll concerntrate on another aspect".. but in the end, you still get fuc*ed for not improving in his standards.
You get the picture... No matter what you do, you get fu*ked for NOT DOING something.
So if you're thinking of building your career or team and climbing the ladder.. FORGET IT! You're climbing a ladder to the moon.
Why?

More $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
Lots more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
If you don't get over-riding from people you bring in.... guess who gets it?
Don't you know that other organisations, being a manager is very easy (simple few criteria)
They even give you $$$ for each person bring in as a consultant.
I've gotten it a few times.
From the looks of things, part 3 would be the most interesting of all..
All that is written might very will be fiction. You owe it to yourself before joining to investigate if they are true.

he puts money in his pocket and couldnt care less about how difficult it is for others to earn a living. causing others going into debts. he's as good as murdering people!

Is like a Government...make citizen work hard to own expensive house, drive bigger car, pay more tax..so economy will grow...And Singaporean are force to feel that life is "success" with BIG cars...so this team is very smart, buy property as investment, buy BIG cars with 10 years of loan (while teaching others about savings? and investments??) Harlow? I was not ever thought to take 10 years of loan to be a slave to banks...and invest money to pay for the interest??? It is wise? I always thought a car is a liability...oh ya..if a sales is done in Fast Food Restaurant is consider "Low Class"...How come? and poor young chap must pay money to bring client to high class restaurant...not bad to impress the "client" to be the potential "new" recruit...and now you know why many people want to be Singaporean..because..Singaporean looks "successful" in BIG cars and Condos...I guess this is how it goes in the team as well...Overall, there's no way we could stop people by writing more...what I can say is..."What you see might not be what you get"...Acting skills is better than Mediacorp Stars.Head to Tail..There's no friendship if there is no business relationship...There is no kinship..if you did not sleep with the team's value...WTF!!!....

ReplyDeleteThe writer is alleging misappropriation of funds (among other things), this is a serious offense, If he has the facts he should make a police report, if he does not, he should not make these allegations.
People care free to choose who they work for and who they work with. If you are not happy just leave. It is nonsense to talk about people being "brain washed" into staying.
We are all responsible for our own action or inaction.
To be frank (objectively) .. almost 90% of what the writer had written were truth (at least i hv seen it during my journey w them). Guessed I'm lucky to leave early cos' i'm not up to the Boss "standard", which sometimes confused me (there were double ones most of the time). But i must say, i have learnt the good & right stuff from the Boss & still applying it in my career elsewhere in different industry. I had heard of the "joint properties investments" scheme within the company. It was a good move if ONLY they cash out now ... (since they bought low & can sell high now). But unfortunately, those few whom i knew that got into this investment had no official documents to prove they are actually part of the investment. Nevertheless, only God will know who is right & who is wrong. I do hope PT & his ppl are still attending church & know what they are doing. God Bless!

i have come across many people who left their jobs, but few had such negative feelings. but this EX-JNP group haf a high % who all felt this way. believe or not, the element of truth is present.
Everything over there operates on feedback (also known as complaining behind someone back yet remain anonymous). The feedback system is even more effective than the feedback mechanism used in electrical diode. If you guys think that a person had done something wrong, just kindly tell the person right in the face. Feedback or rather backstabbing behind is hum ji and unethical. Hmmm, I guess this is the so call values that have been propagating around there.

besides relationships with advisers' loved ones, i hated most is the "exclusive investments" they "invite" people to go into.
never give any written agreement, just on "mutual trust" and "faith in boss's decision".
i say its BLIND FAITH. anything about money should be written down clearly in black and white. this is to protect investers' interest wah. simple logic, yet those stupid advisers had been brainwashed too seriously to realise this.
even if they tot of this,also dont dare to raise this up. so stupid! in the end chi kue de hai shi zi ji.

I have been to one of their recruitment talk some months back. From what I see observed back then, they portrayed a very positive image. But looking at all the comments thus far, I afraid this might be a case of hang goat head, sell dog meat situation. Now I am confused.

This is getting so exciting as more heros are contributing their sad plight. We can film a movie abt our story and confirm blockbuster!! The worst thing abt the massage or gua sha by the head only involve ladies who are 'can make it' criteria, those 'not so can make it' no chance o get this service, even if u offer to pay. lol. Go to his office/room, take out your top, unbucket the he service u. Imagine they got a BF or Husband, u think they can take it??? ReplyDeleteas per the first episode, i have been doing a thorough check and may i say that i have reaped a lot of information and testimonials over this page...hmm thanks to all, in fact i remember the first advice was to look for the ex-advisers by who are still in the industry and a few names were mentioned...i tried to search on MAS website to contact them but to no avail as i need their representative number or so what the website requires but however i managed to call up to ipp and found out their full names...which makes it easier for me to find out about them..i guess the info seems quite normal till i found this which made me think twice, maybe there is a character flaw in the person to begin with as she seems to be very complainy and never satisfied with any damn f**king thing in her life. let me share with you sth very interesting,

My friend, I don't think you are JUST A CLIENT..If you want to uphold your good name..comment with BALLS.. don't be an adviser and act as client...Old Trick...h ya..but if you are thinking of joining them...Good luck..After all these blogging about the branch..I hope the "BOSS" will treat you all better...Give black and white on investment...give more bonus...and STOP making people who just ORD to pay for branch retreat, DnD, Where the HELL we find all those money..and the managers and himself will GREATLY LOAN you so that you can be indebted to them...
What I can say is the branch has good culture but they forget the basic thing about "Respecting each other and respecting HUMAN!"...

What I can say is...I join fast and leave faster..Lucky! Learn that "friendship" can not be really trusted, no such thing as "relationship" in this FA as people only talk about "money"...Growing "YES"..I now can pitch very nice sales talk...and yah.."THINK AND GROW RICH"..I am still reading it..but not using it as a "BIBLE"..so I don't drive "Animals" anymore..
For those who are still there, look deep into your pocket..if you think "success" ..look at your bank book and if you are STILL worrying about your API, SPI??? But at the end, how much comms received minus all extravagant spending..you are LEFT WITH? Oh ya..unless you can SELL WELL or hit MRT, if not, forget that the boss will progress you...
If you want sell well, you must wake up 5am, do Qi Gong, attend meeting, every morning, after that meet client at lunch..afternoon "Group meeting"...Plan for the next branch event, after that go DnD, go Retreat...and at night go "Recruitment" and sleep at 1am to 2am..because you need to read Book and write review..else the Manager will question you that you are "LAZY"...work so HARD! and Sunday u still must morning go Excercise..Going to Gym with your group is compulsory, go Swimming also Compulsory.....Is like a "open jail = ARMY lifestyle" and 100x more Siong because Army pay you..for this..All you PAY!!!...
What can you do about this? Don't complaint...You won't have time for your family..You can forget about dating a boy or girl outside the branch because they speak "evil language" and affect the culture...
1 MOST IMPORTANT Feeling I am having NOW!...I can say whatever I want...and not ACTING like part of the team...What the HELL is coaching with him so important and must use tape recorder to record...now I know. so when your manager give you coaching session..you must say ...oh Boss is great! He share with me this ....and that.... and WTF, I rem I still say good thing about him to be in his good book...

quoting the above, i am shocked to say that at first the author had encouraged us to find the ex advisers so i did my home work, i realised that jnp is under ipp so i called to find out about the names that were mentioned by the commentators-cynthia, chris, jun, gou li since i can't find them on MAS websites. so with their names i gotten their details and info and when i checked them online i realised i saw a side of a person called personal flaw in character i must say...this posted previosuly even with a link to a website that she created herself (complaining about her job, her life, people on the road and even her clients...huh?) but i guess the author have removed my post..WHY? is there sth to hide? i hope not all ifa are like that otherwise i leave my bank for what, i am out to find a difference not jump into a different pool with the same treatment. from alll these i see that this blog is just another full of lies and deceits trying to influence others and brain wash others to think like them..not happy here and not happy there..then where can i get happines and fulfillment in my job?-

You are paid a comms from Principles, and it goes to IPP office first, and cut by your Director and your Managers...What's for you? Little...so hard to overcome this...Work very HARD and close more deals...Until you die...you are still looking for sales..why. There are targets and renewals last 3 - 6 years Max..so if you don't do sales..You eat maybe "air"...
Go for "High Net Worth Client"??? Don't be Conned!..unless you are from freaking rich family or from that community..as in your life you will never serve this level of clients. They are contacts of established CFA, CFP and TOP Banks...If you are naive and think you will get to serve them once you horned your skills? Nah.....I don't think they even bother to talk and listen to your "limited" investment thoughts! Compare to Top Banks with Top Research Team...You want to sell "unit trust"?? People are buying property and shares..."unit trust" are fund managers game..
Sell Insurance??? Why would people choose a brokerage??? You can represent many Principle??? Yes..Agree...but can you guarantee that the Principle won't screw you UP???
Invest in Property??? Good Move in Singapore..But it is really YOURS or Some"boss" ownership???
Maybe give some thoughts to my few cents advise...if will be better if you stay in bank..if you like investment..go do CFA and be a good one... if you think about insurance...a Principle is always better...
No doubts, this branch does have good sales speech to tel stories and make client buy in...but what I can say..it is not about the "sales pitch" or memorising the script..It is about the "Advisers' friends and family" who show support to help this chap rise.....
I regret to join and left because I feel I owe so much to the people who trusted me..Worst is!!! Once you leave, the client fate is decided by the branch and you just have to see them being drained by the Managers who collect over-riding and not servicing them at all!!...And pay $1000 for penalty for leaving within 1 year for some of them...
If you really care for clients...join other IFA or Principles...not all can join JnP and stay there is true..as only the "obedient and loyal" stays...
thanks for your reply...may i ask what line are you in currently, are you saying u totally left ifa line? the thing is if you have left that gives a very good reason on why you are so bias on this mah...the reason i wanna go in is only because of one thing as i mentioned earlier, in the banking industry, the high fliers that i am serving are too demanding with everything and the kind of entertainment that they require is god damn freaking weird....i am getting good money back for my family but the kind of satisfaction that i can get from my current services is totally out of sorts...when you mention about client fate being left to the branch, in the first place if you never leave then won't you be serving the clients? if you were not happy in the branch why didn;t you speak up?

ReplyDeleteJNP is a fantastic branch. pleaaaase join... No one will be able to stop anyone from joining, once a decision had being made, no one will be able to change his/her decision apart from themselves..
most of the commentors in this blog have and had suffered greatly before from the branch especially the author of this blog who have the guts and i salute to him or her.. most of the people who left are good people and not some type of freaks for all you know "these Ex-advisers" who are initially able to join in the organisation because their characters are deemed to be good and ""coachable"" and not lousy people or ex-convicts.. they are like all others in the branch, young, energetic, vibrant, inexperience especially and also very trusting. however when time passes, they realised that the place is not as wonderful as they are being describe and the people are not as geinuine as they supposely are, people begins to "WAKE UP" and questions.. guess what!! kana "F" by the managers saying "no personal growth" thats why no financial growth also.. better wake up your idea and follow closely if not you will be boycott by the team and the fellow advisers.. so what can this adviser do?? follow lah, to prevent being in the bad books and kana boycott.. then the inbalance in emotions sets in.. haha thats where the real geinuine feelings begins and EYES OPEN to really see in depth of the branch practice and the absolute binding culture, work and personal life.
the skills being taught by the head is relevent and realistic and well structured, its an Art, no boubt abt it..
BUT the ART of LIFE SKILLS is what i have really learned inside there. i have learned decernment after people got boycott and found out the real reason, i have learned to see through people adgenda behind every statement that have being said after things begins to change and i have learned to be very careful of what is being place forward to me in word or actions because most of the things are being carefully created and sold to me to make me believe.. WELL, i realised its not the truth after some time because i am dumb and easily convinnced because "HE" is more experienced and knowledgable and earn much more then me.. who is more qualified to teach me than HIM, would i want to follow a millionaire or a poor man... nice and convincing word..
gian _banker, pls go ahead and join the branch i assured you a wondeful journey in life if you like it or dont, just be careful of your expenditure and committments, make sure you obey the commands and able to withstand late night coachings in any place and you better dont reject any offer for coachings if not you will be deemed as arrogant and not serious in the business. ya better ask for opinions in everything ya do inside the branch including when can ya go for holidays,
what car to buy,
how to speck to another adviser,
how to behave in front to young adviser
what to say and what not to say,
how to respect the managers and serve them
participate and say only positive things
dont associate with negative people
boycott together with the management on the errand adviser so he/she will learned not to make mistake again..
when you can fullfilled these basic steps then you will be able to go up ONE step of the stairs.. "Trainer Candidate"..
my last feedback : A good financial firm will have advisers who are so attached to the company/branch because they loved it so much that they will not be willing to leave unless they really are not suitable in the trade. the branch will be so big and full of fun and geinuine people. but if there are so many adviser who had left and not specking well of the branch.. doesnt one need to find out more and be aware??
sinnce you have made up your mind. Leave your current workplace and join JNP, but however if you are already an adviser inside there.. and pretending to be someone else..

ReplyDeleteThey are all leaving IPP to set up their own branch at Bugis what? Yang, Khai and Herma are already there with all the younger advisers.
Yang is so happy that they can sell insurance there and make money. Unlike all the rest that are banned from selling insurance, only selling investments.
What kind of planning is this for your clients? Touch your heart and ask if your clients benefit more from this or you and the Boss benefit more from this.
Think for your clients and you know what I mean.
